Every year at the Met Gala red carpet, celebrities serve their best fashion. The theme of this year’s Met Gala was Glided Glamour, many celebrities served absolutely gorgeous fashion moments, showing off costumes that are far from ordinary. While many outfits left a lasting impression, there was one guest that served two incredibly stunning outfits during the night.

Blake Lively, an American Actress, attended the event with Ryan Reynolds, her husband. Both of them are co-chairs of the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. Lively arrived at Met Gala in a magnificent rose gold gown with a pink-orange bustle at the sides, complete with shoulder-length gloves and a tiara. Each and every component of her outfit perfectly matched the theme. Needless to say, the couple looked nothing less than royalty.

Lively’s arrival itself was enough to gather all the attention. However, she had more in store. Upon reaching the top of the stairs, the bustle at her waist was untied, revealing a bright turquoise skirt. Beneath her gloves too laid another pair of turquoise-colored gloves. Reynolds’ adoring reaction to his wife’s appearance made this moment more special.

What’s truly breathtaking about this wonderful transformation is the fact that despite minimal alterations, the second look was entirely different from the first.

Another significance of Lively’s dress is the meaning it holds. According to Lively, the unique dress was inspired by NYC architecture and classic buildings. The turquoise skirt train represents the constellation from Grand Central station. The metallic gown and the draping represent the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty respectively.
