These smart and selfless people come up with creative ways to help themselves while helping others. Not only they greatly value the comfort of others, but they also genuinely care about the environment. This inspires them to make their products as eco-friendly as possible. This story is about a wonderful man named Amarildo Silva who’s doing something incredible for the comfort of dogs.
Amarildo Silva Filho is a 23-year-old from living in Pariba, Brazil. In order to make life easier for dogs, he came up with a wonderful plan. By combining his talent and love for animals together, this compassionate man crafts upcycled tire beds for stray and shelter animals. Amarildo strongly believes that if we want to do a great job, we should love what we do. That is what inspired this one-of-a-kind passion project.
So what’s the procedure? First, Amarildo cuts and washes the tire, thoroughly cleaning it. He usually gets these tires either from the streets or from donations. Then he paints the black rubber in various colors and decorates them. He even personalizes them sometimes. As the final touch, he adds a cozy mattress and carrying straps which he sews himself. The animals can curl up and sleep on this mattress. Isn’t that amazing?
A couple of years ago, Amarildo came across a pile of old, worn-out tires in his neighborhood. This motivated him to do something creative and valuable using these tires. He loves animals and is also really passionate about upcycling. This is what made him see the potential in the old tires. He sells these creative beds through his Instagram account. In the past two years, he has sold over 500 beds.
In addition to these cozy beds, Amarildo creates many other things such as flower pots by recycling containers. The special thing about his project is that in addition to making the lives of animals easier, it also helps to save the planet.
