The animal world is full of unique creatures. While some of them have absolutely striking and extraordinary appearances, others have bizarre behavioral patterns. This story is about a European Eagle Owl that has an odd yet funny habit, which is none other than landing on people’s heads. This owl is very friendly and loves to approach people. In fact, it tries its best to land itself on the heads of many onlookers in the city. The wonderful yet hilarious pictures below were captured by Meeno Shaefer from Zaandam, Netherlands, which show the epic owl resting of people’s heads.

Once it lands on someone’s head, it sits there for a minute. Then, it starts looking for a new spot. In an interview with NL Times, Shaefer stated that while photographing the owl, it even attempted to land on his head. But, he quickly lifted his camera to capture the owl. Therefore, it flew over to Shaefer’s neighbor who was standing next to him. Needless to say, thanks to this owl, the town is getting lots of publicity. A resident of Zaandam states that photographers and birders from all over the Netherlands visit this village to see the eagle owl. Isn’t that incredible?
When asked about the reason for this behavior, Schaefer states that even the residents are as confused as everybody else. Either way, watching this owl’s antics is very funny and entertaining.
