There’s a beautiful saying that goes “Photography is the only language that can be understood anywhere in the world,” and it’s indeed true. Just by using a single photograph, so many words, thoughts, and emotions can be conveyed. It’s truly a thing that captures a single precious moment and preserves its memory forever. Abdullah Aydemir, a Turkish photographer, captures such genuine and impactful photographs based on a variety of themes. He is based in Istanbul and has been an amateur photographer for over 15 years.
Before pursuing a career in photography, he has been employed as a teacher. In addition to this, he has been practicing drawing and sculpting. Needless to say, Aydemir is incredibly passionate about these two things, which are art and teaching. Out of all of his photography projects, this particular series titled “Eyes of Istanbul” is truly heartwarming. In this project, Aydemir combines two of his greatest passions, his passion for art and his passion for teaching children. Isn’t that amazing?
Aydemir states that he loves to photograph children because they are symbols of innocence. When he takes portraits of children, he mainly focuses on the eyes. This is because he believes that a person’s eyes mirror their heart. Aydemir explained that most of the time, he randomly captures photos of kids that he comes across in the streets. Through this unique project, he wants the world to know how beautiful Istanbul truly is. So, if you’re interested, check out the pics below and share your thoughts with us in the comments.
