Firemen Use Special Pet Oxygen Mask To Save Unconscious Cat’s Life

Animals, both domestic and wild, get into trouble in the most unexpected moments. When that happens, as humans, it’s our duty to do what we can to save them. Recently, an amazing invention by a group of firemen managed to save the life of a cat. It was none other than an oxygen mask made especially for pets. A group of firemen at the New Orleans Fire Department found the poor cat near a residential building that caught fire. The orange tabby cat was unconscious when the firemen found him. The building caught fire at noon on Wednesday. Local authorities managed to evacuate fifteen residents from the building, and fortunately, no one was harmed.

However, a couple of kittens were stuck inside a flat. The poor felines had to suffer from smoke inhalation. In an attempt to regain their consciousness, the firefighters moved them out. One of the rescue responders used a special oxygen mask on the felines, covering their heads with the mask. These masks, which are specially designed for animals, are available in a variety of sizes. In an attempt to revive the immobile ginger and white cat, firemen stroked its belly and neck while pumping oxygen into its mouth. Another firefighter fed water to the cat by pouring water into his hand.

In the above video, the two cats are spotted in a cat carrier, side by side. The reports suggest that the residential building that caught fire was entirely destroyed. Also, we don’t know for sure when the cats reunited with their owners. Either way, we wish them a speedy recovery. So, if you liked this story, share your thoughts with us in the comments.
