Collecting certain things is a popular hobby among humans. From world-famous paintings, historical paintings, and expensive wines to books, stamps, and video games, humans may collect various things as a hobby. If you are passionate about collecting something, adding more to your collection will bring you great satisfaction and fulfillment. Also, shopping for more collectibles will make you excited. However, humans aren’t the only creatures that love to collect things. This wholesome story is about a pup named Bruce that loves to collect sticks and is very proud of his collection.
Bruce is an adorable 4-year-old Golden Retriever with a wonderful collection of sticks. Most dogs are usually content with just one stick. However, Bruce is different. His love for sticks is extraordinary. Leo Icenhour, Bruce’s dad, explained to us how his collection started. Once there was a winter storm in his area that filled the ground with about 12 inches of snow. At the time, Bruce only had one stick which he loved a lot. One evening, he left this stick outside and it got buried under the snow. The next day, he kept searching for his stick relentlessly, but couldn’t find it. He was in a total frenzy trying to find it, even burying his head under the snow.
Bruce eventually found his precious stick once the weather warmed up. However, losing the stick made him heavily anxious, and he didn’t want to be stick-less again. That’s how his collection was born. Now, while he’s only allowed to have real sticks in his collection, he plays fetch using rubber toys only. The reason for this is that on his 2nd birthday, a stick perforated his esophagus while playing fetch. Thankfully, Bruce is healthy now. So, check out his stick collection below and share your thoughts in the comments.
