This breathtaking bird identified as Grandala Coelicolor is also one such bird. It has an absolutely mesmerizing deep, rich blue coat that stuns everyone. This magnificent plumage is sure to attract everyone’s attention. Other than their eyes, bill, and legs, the rest of the body of coelicolors is blue in color. It’s amazing how blue and black combine so perfectly and effortlessly to create the beautiful plumage of these striking birds. When you see the beauty and majesty of these birds, it’s really difficult not to fall in love with them.
The stunning deep blue plumage is only seen in male birds. The plumage of female birds is relatively dull and less attractive. They are brown in color, and they have white streaks near the head and breast. They also possess white bars on their wings. Grandala coelicolors commonly reside in the Indian subcontinent, in places with mid to low altitudes. They can also be spotted in the Himalayas in Bhutan, Tibet, India, Nepal, and some parts of China. Their preferred food is usually insects, fruits, and berries. The breeding period of these birds lasts from May to July. During this time, they built a nest that takes the shape of a cup.
