Olivier Naska is a 42-year-old from France. Years ago, he used to be an aquarium enthusiast. He even had 42 aquariums that were filled with nothing but freshwater shrimp. Not knowing what the future holds for him, he even bought his first camera. For five years, all he photographed were the contents of his aquarium. Then, one of his friends taught him that there’s so much more in the world to photograph other than aquariums. Following his friend’s advice, Olivier started capturing ‘other’ things on his camera. He was mostly fascinated by insects, flowers, and mushrooms.
While viewing more and more interesting aspects of nature through the lens, Olivier needed to learn more about the art of photography. This is when he started practicing various skills related to photography. He even attempted a variety of style exercises including compositing, high speed, and studio. When he made his artistic return to the craft, he was very confident about what he have learned.
Olivier started to exhibit his works in France, Belgium, and Switzerland in 2017. Also, he released a book titled ‘Monde Invisible’ in 2018. Kyriakos Kazyras participated in the book as well and gave Olivier the honor of preface. Also, in 2021, Olivier acquired Rexie, an adorable female Australian shepherd that bought so many positive changes to Olivier’s life. Boosting his confidence and awareness was one of them. Eventually, instead of photographing little components of nature, Olivier shifted his attention to his beloved dog.
