According to Patrick Cavanagh who’s a neurologist, it’s very important to understand that instead of seeing the reality, we are seeing a story that’s created to mislead us. It’s not uncommon for our brain to come up with various illusions that match reality, but this doesn’t happen always. In the subreddit community called ‘Misleading Thumbnails, pictures with misleading titles are shared, altering how we perceive them.
Lisa Yaszek is a Regents Professor of Science Fiction Studies at Georgia Tech. She states that it’s human nature to be astonished by optical illusions. One reason for this is that optical illusions serve as a symbol of the creativity of humans. Also, they convey how humans are skilled at flexible thinking. Lisa believes that humans’ ability to have multiple perceptions might be a component of our inherent aptitude for learning.
