Nowar Minerals, Inc., a mineral purveyor, shared pics of gigantic amethyst geodes that are too incredible to be real. The weight of some of these stunning sparkly giants is over 10,ooo pounds. One unbelievably massive geode that’s 22 feet tall, weighed a whopping 26,000 pounds.
Although it’s hard to believe, these wonderful one-of-a-kind massive geodes occur naturally. From time to time, they can be discovered in the Artigas region, Uruguay, which is really popular for producing such ultra-large amethysts. These massive amethysts are the result of a combination of favorable environmental conditions including a basalt that’s 120 million-years-old, groundwater that’s rich with minerals, and volcanic rock-flows.

Although Nowar minerals have found many geodes that are massive in size, they’re not the largest that has been recorded. As claimed by the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest amethyst ever recorded weighs a staggering 28,660 pounds.
