Alper Yesiltas is a lawyer and photographer based in Istanbul, Turkey. For the past couple of decades, he has been continuously imagining scenes and capturing precious moments on camera. Throughout his career in photography, some of his works have been published in various books, magazines, websites, and exhibitions across the world. Furthermore, he has even won multiple photo contests. The images below are the first photo collection from his AI-based project named ‘As if nothing happened.’

Sometimes, our loved ones leave us too soon. Even after years have passed, we still can’t help but think about what they would look like if they survived the unforeseen circumstances of the past. This thought is the inspiration behind ‘As if nothing happened.’ This wonderful project explores what some great people would look like if they were still alive.

Yesiltas has been really excited about the development of AI technology. This is because, with the use of artificial intelligence, anything that can be imagined in the human mind can be shown as its reality. After he began working with technology, he has been thinking about how to use it to do something that he truly loves. He eventually came to the conclusion that he wanted to see some people that he loved and missed again in front of him. That’s how this project came to life.
