Statistics suggest that a whopping 1.5 million neglected and abandoned pets undergo euthanasia annually. Euthanasia would have been the fate of this absolutely endearing Labrador with a facial deformity, named Beaux, until a kindhearted human decided to give him a well-deserved and loving forever home.

Beaux’s life as a puppy wasn’t easy. As a result of being born with six siblings, Beaux’s cranium was sunken. In other words, he was born with a squished face. His deformed face did not affect his abilities at all, but nobody was willing to buy the pup from the breeders.

As a result, Beaux was given away for free, but that didn’t do him any good. He was mistreated, neglected, tied up in the backyard, and forced to be alone. No affection was shown to Beaux. He was not even treated for having fleas. After suffering for five years in a family that neither loved nor truly wanted him, Beaux was finally put up for adoption.

At this point only Jamie came across Beaux. She read about the adoption online, and was shocked to see that Beaux was extremely skinny, weighing only 42 pounds, and that he had worms. Jamie took him in, and for the first time in his life, Beaux was showered with all the love and affection he deserved. Jamie got Beaux treated at once, and helped him all the way throughout the recovery process.

Presently, Jamie and Beaux are practically inseparable. He is obsessed with tacos, and even has an elder brother named Riley, aged fifteen. Beaux spends his time playing with Riley, driving around, and getting loads of cuddles and snuggles from Jamie. Needless to say, Beaux is now happier than he has ever been.
