Woman Recreates Instagram Pics Of Famous Celebrities In Funny Parody Portraits

Celeste Barber is a comedian who recreates Instagram photos of celebrities by giving them her own flavor. She’s here to remind us that not everything we see on social media, especially what’s shared by celebrities, is not realistic. Most of the celebrity posts we see on Instagram are elegant, admirable, and very interesting to look at. However, for most of their audience, it is far from reality. She created a project called #CelesteChallengeAccepted. In this, she documents herself as she tries to recreate some really unique and exciting snapshots shared by famous celebrities on social media. This includes popular TV personalities, musicians, actors, etc.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, the comedian explained how some celebrities seem to think that non-rich, non-privileged people are idiots, and believe everything they share on social media is real. She stated that she wanted to attempt to show how hilarious it would look if ‘ordinary’ people recreated these pictures. In addition to accomplishing her comedic goals, she was also able to share a valuable message with her followers with her hilarious recreations. With her work, Celeste inspires her followers not to feel bad about themselves by looking at celebrity posts that make ‘normal’ people feel like they’re not enough. Celeste gets lots of positive feedback from her followers that greatly appreciate her work. Her followers praised her for ‘keeping it real.
